A growing need for data storage and processing closer to the end user will cause the industry to gravitate toward growth through edge datacenters. Sustainability will be demanded from the industry by governments, institutions and corporations alike. The European Commission, for example, is looking for the datacenter industry to be climate-neutral by 2030.
