Eric discusses the product development and strategic implications of manufacturing for those in industry, as well as workforce and economic development considerations for those interested in the industry. He addresses topics including the ideal time for emerging companies to make plans for manufacturing a product and how working with contract manufacturers can shape product development and company strategy.

"When we do an analysis of the 'make' versus 'buy' decision associated with small to mid-scale companies," Langer offered, "we find that there's a logical approach to how companies decide and it's not necessarily price driven."
