The CBIA is a special interest group within the California Technology Council, convened to explore best practices across industries in incubation and acceleration. Stakeholders include for-profit and non-profit incubators and accelerators, as well as corporate incubation and investment leaders and external innovation representatives from member organizations.

In May 2016, CBIA released its first major research project, California Tool Works. To learn more about the study and related material, interviews, and podcasts, please visit the California Tool Works main page here.

Meeting topics often include managing mentor networks, the resource requirements of hardware and life science programs, space requirements of client companies, measuring and monitoring success in graduate portfolios, and much more.

CBIA meetings are closed to practitioners of incubation and acceleration only. For more information on how to get involved, contact join@californiatechnology.org.
