Our venture team combines entrepreneurs in residence with seasoned subject matter experts, serial entrepreneurs, and angel investors to explore technology of high potential with our partner research institutions.


California Cybersecurity Information Sharing Organization (CalCISO)

CalCISO brings together industry, university, and public sector organizations for sharing cyber threats, fostering industry-driven solutions, addressing the talent shortfall, and ensuring informed public policy and regulation. LEARN MORE HERE.


Women in Cyber

What began as an on-going series within CalCISO has become an initiative of its own. Women in Cyber is focused on expanding career pathways for young women entering security fields. Our primary goal is to develop internship opportunities with member companies and partner universities.


CLEAN ACRES

The CTC convenes members on building technologies, the smart grid and issues in technology-oriented real estate. From time to time, the Clean Acres Advisory Board identifies opportunities to conduct tours of facilities of interest to the community. LEARN MORE HERE.


Autonomous Transportation Initiative

ATI brings together industry, investors, academia, and government to explore a combination of frontier technologies and the policy and regulatory climates to encourage wider deployment, balanced with safety and public benefit.


FIRST PITCH

First Pitch demo days occur roughly quarterly and typically involve presentations by startups between Seed and Series A stage, investors and researchers with concepts at pre-commercial stages. In between these demo days, First Pitch participants go through mentoring and pitch prep support with First Pitch partner organizations. LEARN MORE HERE.


Innovators to Government (I2G)

Among CTC initiatives seeking matchmaking opportunities and new markets for entrepreneurs, the Innovators to Government (I2G) Initiative seeks to identify public sector agencies and representative bodies interested in pilot programs, technology demonstrations and proofs of concept, especially for deployment of experimental technologies. Packard Medal of Achievement

The David Packard Medal of Achievement Award is an honor presented to technology leaders for their contributions to the technology industry, community, and humanity. The Packard Medal was previously presented annually by TechAmerica (formerly AeA), from 1959 through 2013. LEARN MORE HERE.
